Restored between 2010 and 2011 by “ l’atelier les 3 dimensions ”, here is an example of the transformation of a church dating from the mid-19th century into a library in the commune of Draa Essamar to the west of Médéa.
This building with classic architecture covers 240m² of floor space, the peripheral walls are in stone, the roof is in a wooden frame covered with canal tiles.

The restoration saw the introduction of modern materials, while respecting the principle of distinguishability. It also consisted of the reinforcement and renovation of the load-bearing walls, the repair of the roof, the construction of additional premises and the increase in the usable surface area by the construction of a two-story mezzanine in a metal frame; where the posts have been arranged inside the space at a distance from the load-bearing walls.

The general atmosphere, the natural light which fills the space, gives a pleasant atmosphere conducive to reading activity.

تم ترميم هذا المبنى ما بين 2010 و 2011 من قبل “atelier les 3 dimensions ” يعد مثلا مثير للاهتمام على تحويل كنيسة يعود تاريخها إلى منتصف القرن التاسع عشر إلى مكتبة ببلدية ‘ذراع السمار’ غرب المدية.
يغطي هذا المبنى ذو الهندسة المعمارية الكلاسيكية مساحة أرضية تبلغ 240 مترًا مربعًا، الجدران المحيطية مصنوعة من حجر، السقف من خشب مغطى ببلاط.
شهدت عملية الترميم إدخال مواد حديثة، مع احترام مبدأ التمييز. كما تم أيضًا تعزيز وتجديد الجدران الحاملة، إصلاح السقف، إنشاء مباني إضافية وزيادة المساحة الكلية من خلال إنشاء طابقين اضافيين من إطار معدني أين تم ترتيب الأعمدة بداخل الفضاء مبتعدة من الجدران الحاملة.
الجو العام والضوء الطبيعي الذي يملأ الفضاء يعطي جواً ملائماً لنشاط القراءة.
