It is not uncommon to observe the remains of these rural houses along the trans-Saharan road which crosses the regions of Berrouaghia, Kssar EL Boukhari to Boughezoul further south.
It is a tile-roofed house with stone walls, built around a Haouch (farmyard). The man who built it used materials found nearby, which adapt to the harsh climate of the region: cold and snowy in winter, hot and dry in summer.
This rural house reminds us of the house of Kabylie, that of the Bliden atlas... but also those of several Mediterranean regions such as Sicily or Corsica....
منزل ريفي حول المدية (ع)
ليس نادر أن نلاحظ بقايا هذه المنازل الريفية طول الطريق العابر للصحراء نواحي البرواقية ,قصر البخاري حتى بوغزول جنوبا.
إنه منزل مسقوف بالبلاط مع جدران من حجر، مبني حول حوش (ساحة ). استخدم الرجل الذي قام ببنائها مواد موجودة بالقرب ، تتكيف مع قساوة مناخ المنطقة : بارد و مثلج شتاءً، حارا وجافا صيفاً.
يذكرنا هذا المنزل الريفي بمنزل منطقة القبائل، و منزل الاطلس البليدي... و أيضًا بالعديد من مناطق البحر الأبيض المتوسط كصقلية و كورسيكا....
