(en) The Garden of Africa, a cemetery for migrants who died at sea
On the southern coast of Tunisia in the town of Zarzis, this memorial and cemetery reminds us of the sad fate of these migrants who died crossing the Mediterranean.
The Jardin d'Afrique is the work of the Algerian Rachid Koraïchi, who initiated the project when he discovered the situation, acquired land and designed the complex which includes: a small residence for a caretaker, a morgue, a doctor's office, public toilets and an ecumenical prayer room form the architectural elements in the fortified complex.
All of the walls, domed and vaulted buildings, tombstones and tiling were entirely handmade, and much of the work was undertaken by migrants who survived the perilous crossing.
Rachid Koraïchi also designed the Orient Garden of the Royal Château d'Amboise in France, a memorial in tribute to Emir Abdelkader and the 25 members of his retinue who died during his detention between 1848 and 1852.

على الساحل الجنوبي لتونس، في مدينة جرجيس، يذكرنا هذا النصب التذكاري والمقبرة بالمصير المحزن لهؤلاء المهاجرين الذين لقوا حتفهم أثناء عبور البحر الأبيض المتوسط.
حديقة أفريقيا هي من عمل الجزائري رشيد قريشي، الذي بدأ المشروع عندما اكتشف الوضع، وحصل على الأرض وصمم المجمع الذي يتضمن: مسكن صغير لحارس، ومشرحة، ومكتب طبيب، ومراحيض عامة و وغرفة صلاة
جميع الجدران والمباني المقببة والمقببة وشواهد القبور والبلاط مصنوعة يدويًا بالكامل، وتم تنفيذ الكثير من العمل من قبل المهاجرين الذين نجوا من العبور المحفوف بالمخاطر.
من أعمال الفنان أيضا, حديقة الشرق في قصر أمبواز الملكي في فرنسا، وهي نصب تذكاري تكريما للأمير عبد القادر و25 عضوا من حاشيته الذين لقوا حتفهم أثناء اعتقاله بين عامي 1848 و1852
