Painting on wood, an ancient Algerian secular art found particularly in Algiers and Constantine. It was once that the Deys of Algiers and Beys of Constantine imported cedar from Kabylie to decorate their palaces with floral motifs and Moorish arabesques in shimmering colors.
This is how are decorate the Ceilings of Palaces and Villas, Sendouk L’aroussa (bridal chest), Screens, Tables, Mirrors, Doors, Cradles……
This art lives on today with a young generation of Artists who continue to revive the old and new Algerian Architecture.

يستمر هذا الفن اليوم بفضل جيل جديد من الفنانين الذين يواصلون إحياء العمارة الجزائرية القديمة والجديدة
