(en) House – The Aures Region
The Aurassian House is a terrace house; it incorporates the topography of the site into its construction. It is a multi- purpose space with a vertical tripartite organization. Human space is the core space around which animals and (food) reserves gravitate. The core consists of an entrance, a common room and a courtyard.
The walls are made up of a double row of large stones arranged from the field. The floors are supported by two pillars, at their upper end is embedded a wooden sole, two spans of juniper, cedar or Aleppo pine branches serving as joists on the side walls, and on the other, on the sole. The top or roof is covered with dry earth spread on the surface on a thick layer of long-beaten earth mortar making it waterproof. The exterior walls remain bare. Inside, they are finished with a mortar made of clay, of cow dung and finely chopped straw is used as protection of the wall, it is reinforced on the surface by the application of a white earth dressing coating (temlilith).

البيت الأوراسي هو منزل ذو شرفات يدمج تضاريس الموقع في بنائه.يعتبر مساحة متعددة الأغراض مع تنظيم ثلاثي عموديا. الفضاء البشري هو النواة التي تنجذب حولها الحيوانات والمخازن. يتكون قلب المنزل من مدخل وغرفة مشتركة وفناء.
تتكون الجدران من صف مزدوج من الحجارة الكبيرة. ترتكز الأرضيات على عمودين ، في نهايتها العلوية نعل خشبي ، وامتدادان من أغصان العرعر أو خشب الأرز أو الصنوبر الحلبي يعملان كرافعات من جهة على الجدران الجانبية ، ومن جهة أخرى على النعل.
مغطى بأرض جافة منتشرة على السطح على طبقة سميكة من الأرض المطروق. تبقى الجدران الخارجية عارية. في الداخل يتم استخدام ملاط مصنوع أساسا من الطين لحماية الجدار
