Located in the Aurès, the village of Ghoufi is a secondary settlement in the municipality of Ghassira in the city of Batna. There still resists a buil-ding of the old days. The large Trans-Atlantic hotel encrusted in stone.The Ghoufi Canyon; a natural wonder, a fairytale beauty had attracted one of the most prestigious hotel chains: the Transatlantique, to build, in 1902, a hotel incorporated in the cliff perfectly adapting the morphology of the site.Classified 2 stars with its 14 rooms and dining room, The transatlantic Ghoufi hosted an important tourist activity. Having become a resting place for French officers during the War of Liberation, it was destroyed by the Mujahedin (Algerian resistants) in 1955 and has remained in this state since independence.

بعد أن أصبحت مثوى للضباط الفرنسيين خلال حرب التحرير ، دمرها المجاهدون عام 1955 وظلت في هذا الحال الى يومنا هذا.
