Mushroom-shaped, on stilts, above a building, partly buried in a mountain, or even in the appearance of a tower... water towers come in varied shapes and compositions.
They perform several roles: they accumulate and store a large quantity of drinking water; they serve as a buffer reserve, very useful when consumption is lower than production; they distribute water in homes at a regular pressure and quantity; and they make it possible to cope with large demands for water in the event of a fire.
Sometimes ; they are painted by artists in order to reduce the massive effect of the concrete.
أبراج المياه في الجزائر (ع)
على شكل فطريات، فوق مبنى، مدفون جزئيا في الجبل، أو حتى على شكل برج مراقبة... أبراج المياه تأتي في أشكال متنوعة.
لها عدة أدوار: فهي تقوم بتجميع وتخزين كمية كبيرة من مياه الشرب؛ فهي بمثابة خزان احتياطي، مفيد جدًا عندما يكون الاستهلاك أقل من الإنتاج؛ حيث يقومون بتوزيع المياه في المنازل بضغط وكمية منتظمة؛ وتجعل من الممكن التعامل مع الطلب الكبير على المياه في حالة نشوب حريق.
أحيانا ؛ يتم رسمها بواسطة فنانين لتقليل التأثير للخرسانة.
