Arches are one of the oldest architectural forms in the world, introduced with the invention of the vault and constantly refined over the centuries.
An arch is any assembly of stone, rubble or brick intended to cross a more or less large space by means of a curve.
The arches are all based on more or less complex circular shapes and most often arranged according to precise construction processes.
There are several types of arches, depending on the eras and architectural styles, we will mention: Semi-circular, Outrepassed, Broken, Ogive, Trilobed and Polylobed, Rampant and even Zigzagged arches.
In the Maghreb and in Algeria, the most widespread is undoubtedly the semicircular arch and the horseshoe arch.
الأقواس (ع)
الأقواس هي واحدة من أقدم الأشكال المعمارية في العالم ، القوس هو أي تجميع للحجر أو الأنقاض أو الطوب يهدف إلى عبور مساحة كبيرة إلى حد ما عن طريق منحنى.
تستند جميع الأقواس إلى أشكال دائرية معقدة إلى حد ما وغالبًا ما يتم ترتيبها وفقًا لعمليات البناء الدقيقة.
هناك عدة أنواع من الأقواس ، اعتمادًا على الأنماط المعمارية ، نذكر: الأقواس نصف دائري مرتكز ، والمفصصة ، والمكسرة ، والأوجيف ، وثلاثية الفصوص ، ومتعددة الفصوص ، والمنتشرة وحتى المتعرجة.
في المغرب العربي والجزائر ، الأكثر انتشارًا هو بلا شك القوس نصف الدائري وقوس حدوة الحصان.
