The claustra is an architectural element in the form of a perforated wall allowing to bring light, while maintaining a role of separation with the outside. It is composed of stackable and prefabricated elements of different natures: terracotta, stone, concrete, wood, metal.... A claustra can serve as: - Window filling; - Interior partition or screen; - External fence; - Railings for stairs, balconies, terraces, porches; - Workspace delimiter in an open space; - Cupboard or under-table door; It most often plays an aesthetic and thermal role but sometimes is called upon to have a structural role.

يعتبر الكلوسترا عنصرًا معماريًا على شكل جدار مثقوب يسمح بإدخال الضوء مع الحفاظ على دور الفصل مع الخارج. يتكون من عناصر مسبقة الصنع وقابلة للتكديس ذات طبيعة مختلفة: الطين ، الحجر ، الخرسانة ، الخشب ، المعدن ...
يمكن أن يستعمل الكلوسترا في:
- ملء الفتوحات,
- قسم داخلي أو شاشة,
- سياج خارجي,
- درابزين للأدرج والشرفات ؛

غالبًا ما يلعب دورًا جماليًا وحراريًا ولكن في بعض الأحيان يلعب دور هيكلي.
